MessageFirst of all, let me just say sorry for not keeping up with my blog. I have been
using my droid to update it, and it's a GIANT pain in the butt. WiFi at the hotel costs $15 a day, however....I'm currently bootlegging from someone around (no guilt here, I leave my WiFi open at home to pay it forward!).
So, it's pretty standard that we go on a bus tour of NOLA and get some history on the city, as well as, see Katrina damage to help put things into perspective. I have to say, I wasn't really looking forward to the thought of getting back on the bus on Monday. BOY AM I GLAD I DID! This bus tour was so unique from the others. Not only did our bus break down while on the tour..true story...but we got to meet Ms. LeBlanc.
Ms. LeBlanc was waiting at her door for us and invited us up to her porch for a chat. She lives in the area where Brad Pitt is working with Make It Right foundation. During Katrina, her original house was launched in to a tree across the street. The only thing left from her original house are the steps (see above pic). Meeting Ms. LeBlanc was truly the best start to the week.
